No Place Like Home
Although I don't live very far from my prents house, it is still a treat for me to get to go over and visit. This past weekend I got to go home and spend the whole weekend with my best friend,Mom. My dad had gone out of town to ride four wheelers with the guys, and Kyle had a large paper to write, so Mom and I were able to do all our favorite things together, even have a SLUMBER PARTY. When I got to mom's house at about noon on Saturday, she had our whole day planned out. We went out to Rockwall with three agendas eating at our favorite places, movies, and much needed catch-up conversations.
Lunch was at Ruby Tuesdays. After lunch we walked across the wind storm stricken parking lot to the movies. First up, Taken! This movie was good, but not good to watch right before two women are about to stay home alone that night. We got out of Taken just in time to make it to, you guessed it another movie. Hey we don't get to have this time very often so we had to minimize the wait and maximize the fun. The next movie was Confessions of a Shopaholic.

This was a super cute movie. Mom and I always love the cheesy chick flick movies. Normally we would have probably gone shopping next, but we paid close attention to SHOPAHOLIC and decided to take an Easton Zane break instead. Easton, his mommy, and his daddy, had to stop by my parents to get something, and anyone who knows me knows I have to see Easton any chance I get. When we got to the house they were already there. As I turned the corner Easton saw me, gave me a huge smile while saying Emmy, then gave me one of his famous squeezes-aka Hugs.

There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe how much I love that little boy! Easton had a big night planned to watch Muppets in Space, so mom and I decided to go get dinner. Red Lobster here we come...
Over the years mom and I have decided there are few foods that compare to SNOW CRAB LEGS. We always have the best times when we get together.
Now home to blog...
Mom wanted me to help her get her own blog set up so she can record all her memories as the BEST MOM AND GIGI in the world. So that was next on the Agenda. You can check her out at Memory Maker, there is a link on my blog. She did such a great job setting it all up.
As I laid down in my old bed in my old room, I couldn't help but think of all the memories I have had in that house and in my life. I have had the best life anyone could ask for, and know the best is yet to come. Although I spent the darkest days of my life in that room in that house, I also spent the best days in there too, and the Best days completly overwhelm the bad. Some of the Best...
1. Dancing with my Daddy to Stevie Wonder in his study.
2. Mom always getting up with me for 6:30 practices (basketball, volleyball, drillteam) just to make me breakfast.
3. Every 4th of July the club across the street set off fireworks, so we would lay in our front yard and watch them as a family.
4. At Christmas mom would have my Granny and all her friends over for a special Christmas Party.
5. Family dinners.
6. Putting my homecoming and prom dresses on in my room: that mom and I spent all day picking out the perfect one, then walking down the hall to give Daddy the BIG REVEAL.
7. Being accepted to OBU
8. Helping my brother plan his proposal to his beautiful wife.
9. Kyle and I spending our first Christmas in our living room.
10. Planning every detail of our wedding with mom, and the all night flower arrangment sessions that even Daddy helped with.
11. Texie Belle, my Schnauzer
12. Playing with Easton in the backyard.
13. Family Bible studies in the Den
14. Not going through the darkest days of my life, but SURVIVING and learning to live again.
15. Every moment inbetween numbers 1-14
It is my prayer that Kyle and I can be even half as good of parents as mine have been to me.
I will never get tired of GOING HOME...

MAGIC made the Championships
For the second year in a row, the Magic, made it to the championship game. This is the 5th and 6th grade boys Basketball team Kyle coaches with a fellow Minister, Charles Pendley. Last year the Magic took home the 1st place trophy with a nail biting buzzer beater shot. This year it looked as though the game was going to come down to the same buzzer beater shot, and it did. Only this time the Magic didn't win. The boys played their hearts out and there was nothing they could have done any better. Kyle has really loved coaching these boys. They are ALL such quality kids. Here is a few shots from the game.

Date Night
Yeah it is FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!! Friday nights are date nights at the Peters' house. Tonight Kyle and I are going out for Mexican food! Kyle hasn't found a mexican food place he REALLY likes since moving to Texas. His favorite is El Mariachies in Arkadelphis.
On the Border is always a good stop for us though so we will probably end up there. Then we are probably going to just walk aroung at Willow Bend or something. One stop I am going to have to make though is to the Iphone store, to buy a new charger. What happened to mine you ask, well lets just say Lucy should be all charged up for the next couple of days. She has three bars now.
Nothing too exciting happening tonight, but Friday is the only night of the week we have to spend together with no distractions so I always look forward to spending quality time with Kyle, no matter if we do everything or nothing

An afternoon at the Dog park
For anyone who doesn't know Lucy personally, she lives for the dog park. Since it was pretty this afternoon we went to play.
Is the park that way?

I really think it might be that way!

Sure hope you know where you're going mommy!

Oh no I think we just passed it:(

Hey momma's Boy come play with me...

Must Have WATER

Let's go home Mommy...

I sure needed a bath after all that fun:)
