A Love/Hate Relationship

Enemy number 1... and 2...

As you can tell by my countdown, I only have 65 days to get myself in shape for the beach. I have been working my tail, and hopefully booty off everyday this week. I plan to keep this up as much as I can until we go. I just don't want to get out on the beach and cause a panic among other beach goers, when they think a whale has been beached. Growing up I was always in shape because I was always in sports and dance. I never realized how much I was actually working out, because it was just fun for me. Well the fun has left and the work has set in. I am not a fan of going to the gym, but the feeling and results I get after I work out keep me coming back for more. My goal is to put in more work than I ever have before, and hopefully that will mean less of me than there has ever been before:) Why can't BATHING SUITS fit more like SWEAT SUITS?

Hey you're Tony Romo

Yep that's what I almost said to Tony Romo when I saw him at the gym. He plays basketball there on Monday nights. As I was leaving I saw him walking in... and telling him who he was seemed to be the next logical thing. Don't worry I didn't. I just said HI, and then proceeded to go watch part of his game. You know you really do need to cool down before leaving the gym, so why not watch a professional athlete play ball. My phone takes blurry pictures but here are a few of Tony in action...

I thought Jessica may want some action shots since she couldn't make it:)

Every hour on the hour

Unfortunately that is what I saw on my clock last night, every hour on the hour. I have no idea why I could not sleep. Well I do have one idea, and she is about 13inches tall. How something that small can take up about three feet in the bed is beyond me. I slept about twenty minutes during each of those hours. SO when you add it all up I slept...3...no 2hrs,no... oh I don't know. Not much because I can't even add right now. I had a wonderful weekend with my family but you will have to wait until tomorrow to get the play-by-play. I only have one after work activity scheduled for this afternoon and it is described below...

Happy Monday everyone!!!

Spring has Sprung...

Ah it is the first day of Spring. This is my favorite time of the year. To be honest I don't really like to be cold or hot, so Spring works for me. The gorgeous weather, blooming flowers, and birds and butterflies flying remind me just how beautiful this Earth can be. I know at the Peters' house we will be soaking up the sun at the dog park. Nothing like an EXHAUSTED Beagle Baby when you need to get things done. I also like Spring time for another weird reason. Spring cleaning! There is nothing like the feeling of having everything purged, cleaned, and organized. I know it is weird but I blame my mom, she cursed me with the Clean Gene! Now check back with me while I'm in the MIDDLE of spring cleaning and I will deny I ever said I liked it, but the finished product is always so refreshing.

Pretty in Pink:)

Just as any proud mother, I think my Lucy Belle is just about the cutest thing in the world. However there has been a few things that people we come in contact with keep saying about her, 1. Awe HE is so cute, 2. Is that a Beagle MIX?
Time to set the record straight. Just because she had a black and red collar, does not mean she is a boy, girls wear red! There should be no question now...

Tired from playing hard at the park.

Yes Lucy is a Beagle Mix. She is BEAGLE mixed with another BEAGLE.
If I am this frustrated about comments made about Lucy, look out when I am a real mommy! Just Kidding.

My Life as a Minister's Wife.

As I sit here at my computer tonight, I can't help but think about my wonderful husband and the life we are building together. If you would have asked me ten years ago if I thought I could be a minister's wife I probably would have told you no. However my Heavenly Father, had just that in my future. He has spent my whole life preparing me for His work with Kyle. I have prayed about and realized that my place beside Kyle, is as important as Kyle's place at the pulpit. We all look to our Ministers for Guidance and support. Well when you are the Minister you don't have anyone to turn to, except your Heavenly Father and your wife. I strive daily to be that support that Kyle needs so he can be the Minister that the church needs. Are there sacrifices I have to make, absolutely. Do I want all my husband's attention and not have to have him leave at a moments notice when a church member is in the hospital, yes sometimes. But it is in those quiet moments that my Savior reminds me that Kyle was His first and foremost, and whatever He needs us to do in His name is what we are required to do. Instead of the fishbowl that most people perceive ministers families to be in, I take my position "under the microscope" as a chance to to try and show God's love and mercy to as many people as I can, never forgetting that it is through Christ that Kyle and I have life at all.
As the old saying goes...
"I don't know what the future holds, but I know who holds my future." I don't know about you but that is all I need to know!

The loves of my life...

Life doesn't get much better than waking up next to these two every morning.
Some times God's sweetest blessings come in the form of Beagles, and their Daddys.
